Your wedding photos last forever — your skin prep should start six weeks out. Begin too late and you risk reacting to new treatments; start on time and you build a calm, even, genuinely radiant base. Here's the countdown we give every Rare bride.
6 weeks out — assess & plan
Book a skin consultation. We map your skin type, concerns and the look you want, then plan a gentle schedule of facials and home care. This is also the time to patch-test anything new — never try a brand-new treatment in the final fortnight.
5–4 weeks out — treat & hydrate
This is the window for deeper work: a brightening or hydrating facial, mild exfoliation, and de-tan if needed. At home, lock in a simple routine — cleanse, hydrate, SPF every single morning.
The best bridal skin secret is boring on purpose: consistent hydration and daily SPF beat any last-minute miracle.

3 weeks out — refine
A light clean-up to keep pores clear, plus targeted care for any specific concerns. Keep exfoliation gentle now — the goal is calm, not reactive.
2 weeks out — glow, don't experiment
One final hydrating or glow facial. No aggressive peels, no new actives. We're polishing the glow you've already built, not starting over.
The final week — rest & protect
- Hydrate inside and out — water, sleep, a nourishing mask mid-week.
- Keep makeup minimal so skin stays fresh.
- A relaxing pre-bridal session to de-stress and calm any redness.
The day before
Early night, plenty of water, light skincare. Lay everything out, and trust the prep. On the morning, your artist works on a smooth, hydrated canvas — which is exactly why the makeup sits beautifully and lasts till the last dance.
